About ASDI

The Anxiety and Stress Disorders Institute of Maryland, LLP (ASDI), originally the Anxiety Disorders Clinic of the Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital founded in 1978, became an independent treatment center in 1992.  Although we are still located on the grounds of Sheppard-Pratt Hospital in Towson, we are a private practice not affiliated with the hospital.

The mission of ASDI is to deliver the highest quality care to patients suffering from anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and stress-related problems. Every patient receives an individualized assessment and treatment plan based upon current knowledge in the field. Our staff of experienced specialists includes psychologists, social workers, and professional counselors. Many of our staff are also engaged in professional training activities both in the Baltimore area and nationally.

ASDI offers many services including: Individualized assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, cognitive therapy, intensive behavior therapy, couples/family therapy, mindfulness meditation training, in vivo exposure treatment, stress management, public lectures, second opinion consultations, clinical supervision, and customized workshops.

Our general philosophy is immensely practical:

To help each patient reach his or her own goals for recovery in the most personally compatible, effective and lasting manner.

We are located near the beltway in Towson, easily accessible from the entire Baltimore area. Health insurance (but not HMO's) will usually reimburse a portion of our fees:  Details
